Terms & Conditions

Silonexx is a professional-grade chemical damp-proof injection system designed for use by licensed trade professionals.

The performance warranty outlined below applies where the product is installed correctly and in accordance with the prescribed technical guidelines.

1. Eligibility for Warranty Coverage

The Silonexx performance warranty is available where:

Installation is carried out by a licensed waterproofing contractor or appropriately licensed building tradesperson.

  • The installation is completed in accordance with the current Silonexx Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and Installation Guidelines.
  • The work is invoiced and paid for through that licensed contractor.

Where installation is undertaken by an unlicensed individual or DIY installer, the product is supplied without performance warranty coverage.

2. Correct Product Quantity

Warranty eligibility requires that:

  • The correct volume of product is used based on wall thickness and lineal metre calculation.
  • Minimum litres per lineal metre comply with the Silonexx TDS.
  • Capillary Saturation Zone™ is confirmed at all adjacent holes across the full injection line.
 

Under-application or failure to use the minimum prescribed quantity may compromise barrier formation and will exclude warranty coverage.

3. Installation Procedure Compliance

Installation must adhere to the Silonexx technical specifications, including:
  • Correct drilling height and drilling pattern
  • Correct hole diameter and spacing
  • Appropriate injection technique
  • Confirmation of Capillary Saturation Zone™ at every injection point before closing each hole.
Material deviations from published installation procedures may affect eligibility for warranty consideration.

4. Documentation & Traceability

To assess any warranty claim, the following must be retained and provided upon request:

  • Proof of purchase
  • Product batch number
  • Lineal metre calculation used for the project
  • Photographic documentation showing drilling pattern and injection process prior to reinstatement
  • Photographic records assist in verifying compliance with installation standards.

5. Scope of Warranty

Where all conditions above are satisfied, the warranty covers:

Formation of a continuous water-repellent barrier within treated masonry as per product design.

The warranty does not extend to:

  • Structural defects
  • Pre-existing building movement
  • Salt-related render deterioration
  • Use of improper render and/or surface finishes
  • Moisture sources unrelated to rising damp
  • Work not carried out in accordance with published guidelines

6. Professional Installation Value

These conditions exist to:

  • Protect installation quality and long-term performance
  • Support licensed contractors in delivering warrantable outcomes
  • Maintain consistent technical standards across all projects
 

Silonexx is engineered as a trade-grade system. 

Correct installation ensures the integrity of both the building and the contractor’s workmanship.

DIY & Owner Builders

Silonexx may be supplied to owner builders and independent installers.

However, rising damp assessment and remediation frequently involve multiple contributing moisture sources and building-specific variables.

Professional contractors typically possess experience in moisture diagnostics, material behaviour, and compliance with technical specifications.

They also assume contractual liability for workmanship and performance outcomes.

Where installation is carried out by an owner builder, unlicensed individual, or any person not holding appropriate trade licensing, the product is supplied as a construction material only. In such cases:

  • No performance warranty applies.
  • No representation is made as to suitability for the specific structure.

 

Responsibility for diagnosis, specification, installation methodology, and outcome rests solely with the purchaser/installer.

Moisture-related symptoms in masonry can arise from, or be influenced by, factors including but not limited to:

  • External wall exposure or lack of façade protection
  • Bridging of damp-proof courses
  • Ground level variations
  • Roof, flashing, gutter or plumbing defects
  • Window and penetration detailing
  • Air-conditioning discharge/penetrations
  • Expansion joints or structural cracks
  • Salt contamination or hygroscopic moisture
  • Correct identification of the primary moisture mechanism requires professional diagnostic assessment. Misdiagnosis is a common cause of perceived treatment failure.
 

Proper barrier formation further depends on:

  • Accurate wall thickness assessment
  • Correct calculation of litres per lineal metre
  • Full substrate saturation
  • Correct drilling pattern and injection height
  • Suitable substrate condition at time of treatment
  • Injection areas not being bridged at later times by concrete, garden beds etc. 

Responsibility for diagnosis, specification, installation methodology, and outcome rests solely with the purchaser/installer.

DPC injection products are designed to prevent capillary absorption of moisture through porous masonry. 

They are not intended to resist hydrostatic pressure or stop active water flow, such as in basements, retaining walls, cavity walls with water ingress, or situations where water accumulates within the wall at or below the damp course level.

Batch samples are taken at the time of manufacture and tested for water repellency on masonry and kept as a record.
